The Challenge

Help to support the decision-making process and enrich the patient communication of public health workers in Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Mozambique through better designed paper-based information systems.

The Outcome

A comprehensive concept for the paper-based medical recording and reporting of health data with forms, which significantly simplifies the current information structures, connects them across disciplines and contains a sophisticated alert system for possible complications.

The Impact

The holistic analysis of the information architectures of almost all child-related form books, which went beyond the characteristics of the individual countries, led to the discovery of an approach for the universal medical record, which also raised interest at the WHO and thus opened up many questions and interests.
